Maserati has unveiled the Grecale Cristallo special edition at its historic Modena headquarters, choosing a symbolic setting rather than a conventional exhibition venue. The debut took place in January 2026 and coincided with a stage of the Milano–Cortina 2026 Olympic Torch Relay passing through the city, linking the presentation to a broader national event.

The Grecale Cristallo draws its inspiration from Monte Cristallo, a prominent Dolomite mountain massif known for its light-colored rock and distinctive interaction with natural light. This reference shapes the identity of the special edition, most notably through the introduction of Azzurro Aureo, a new exclusive colour developed under the Maserati Fuoriserie program and identified by a dedicated badge on the bodywork. The shade blends a cool blue base with subtle golden mica, creating a finish that shifts in tone depending on lighting conditions.

The exterior is further defined by 21-inch diamond-cut aluminium wheels with the CRIO design, along with new front grille inserts painted in body colour. Inside, the alpine theme continues through the use of Premium Leather Ghiaccio, a light-toned interior finish that reinforces the sense of clarity and brightness, complemented by exclusive trims and details.

The Grecale Cristallo also includes a package of Original Maserati Accessories as standard. This set comprises self-levelling logo hubcaps, branded valve caps, a customised courtesy light and branded front floor mats, elements designed to enhance the vehicle’s visual coherence and perceived refinement without altering its core architecture.

The special edition is available across the Grecale range, including the Modena, Trofeo and fully electric Folgore versions, retaining the technical characteristics of each variant. This positioning underlines that the Cristallo is not a one-off concept, but a dedicated special series integrated into the existing model lineup.

The first ten Grecale Cristallo vehicles, all in Modena specification, were displayed on-site at the Modena plant on Viale Ciro Menotti. Presenting the cars at this historic facility highlighted the enduring connection between the model and Maserati’s manufacturing and cultural heritage.
