Mercedes-Benz presents Marco Polo and Sprinter campers at CMT 2026
Mercedes-Benz announced its participation at CMT 2026 in Stuttgart, presenting the V-Class Marco Polo and Sprinter-based campers. Explore key highlights.
Mercedes-Benz has outlined its strategic presence at the Caravan Motor Touristik 2026 in Stuttgart, taking place from 17 to 25 January. Located in the eastern entrance area of the exhibition, the brand’s stand will be centred around the V-Class Marco Polo, a key model within its recreational vehicle portfolio.
The focus on the Marco Polo highlights Mercedes-Benz’s approach to the compact camper segment. The model combines premium design with everyday usability and full touring capability, while its height of under two metres makes it suitable not only for travel but also for regular urban use.
Within the range, Mercedes-Benz draws a clear distinction. The V-Class Marco Polo is positioned as a fully equipped camper for extended holidays, whereas the Marco Polo HORIZON, with reduced interior furniture, is aimed at short trips and weekend travel. Both versions share a strong emphasis on comfort, technology and versatility.
Alongside its own vehicles, Mercedes-Benz places strong emphasis on the wider camper ecosystem built around the Sprinter. At CMT 2026, numerous partners are presenting motorhomes based on this platform, including Bürstner, Carthago, Frankia, Kabe, Knaus Tabbert, Malibu and Volklandt/Rhön Camp. Announced highlights include the Carthago c-line I 4.9 LE L and 5.0 QB, the Frankia Platin Final Edition, the Kabe Novum 750 TRAQ and the Rhön Camp Seeker.
The broader context underlines why this presence matters. According to Mercedes-Benz, every tenth Sprinter produced last year was converted into a motorhome, a figure that reflects the continuing growth of the recreational vehicle market. This development explains the brand’s dual strategy: offering its own camper models while also strengthening its role as a leading base vehicle supplier for the industry.
In this light, Mercedes-Benz’s appearance at Caravan Motor Touristik 2026 goes beyond a simple product showcase. It positions the brand as an active contributor to the future of the recreational vehicle sector, from compact campers like the Marco Polo to fully fledged motorhomes built on the Sprinter platform.
