BMW unveils world premieres and celebrates legendary models at Villa d’Este 2025

Experience BMW’s three world premieres, rare classics, and major anniversaries at Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este 2025. Join the celebration of design and heritage.
From May 23 to 25, 2025, the serene shores of Lake Como will once again host one of the world’s most exclusive automotive events — the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este. Organised for the 20th time by BMW Group Classic in partnership with the historic Villa d’Este hotel, the event promises a weekend rich in design, heritage, and innovation.
This year’s concours will feature eight meticulously curated competition classes, ranging from the opulent “money-no-object” cars of the 1920s–1940s to unrestored time capsules and the bold excess of the 1980s and early 2000s. The coveted “Trofeo BMW Group – Best of Show” will be awarded by an expert jury, while the audience will cast their votes for the “Coppa d’Oro”. Other distinctive awards include the “Trofeo del Presidente” presented by BMW Group Classic’s Helmut Käs, and the “Trofeo Il Canto del Motore” for best engine sound, selected by opera star Jonas Kaufmann.
BMW will use the stage to unveil three world premieres. These include a bespoke, elegantly sporty two-seater roadster, a concept study from BMW Motorrad showcasing two-wheeled adrenaline, and a new high-performance model from BMW M GmbH — the latter remaining under wraps until showtime.
Several significant anniversaries will also be honoured. For the first time since 1940, all surviving body variants of the Mille Miglia BMW 328 cars will be shown together. Also commemorated are the 50th anniversary of the BMW 3 Series, 70 years of the BMW 507, 503 and Isetta, and the 50-year milestone of BMW Art Cars, with Sandro Chia’s Art Car No. 13 (BMW M3 GTR) on display.
The Saturday parade on Villa d’Este’s terrace remains a highlight, but Sunday’s “Public Day – Il Festival” at Villa Erba opens the gates to all, offering a full lineup of classic and concept cars, entertainment zones, and live experiences. That same weekend, Broad Arrow Auctions will host a two-day sale, including a dedicated BMW auction featuring the 1958 BMW 507 and the 1981 BMW M1.
Saturday also brings “Amici & Automobili – Wheels & Weisswürscht”, a celebration of global car communities and clubs showcasing 150 unique vehicles. The “Best of Show” winner will be awarded a one-of-a-kind A. Lange & Söhne 1815 CHRONOGRAPH in white gold, bearing a hand-engraved Villa d’Este crest.
