Bentley Mulliner presents Batur Convertible #4, a highly bespoke coachbuilt model showcasing advanced personalisation, unique materials and W12 performance. Discover the details.

Bentley Mulliner has completed work on Batur Convertible #4, described by the marque as the most highly curated Batur Convertible created to date. The car stands as a clear demonstration of how far Mulliner’s bespoke capabilities can extend when a project is shaped through full co-creation with its owner.

The fourth Batur Convertible was commissioned by Bentley collector Sonia Breslow, whose garage already includes a Blower Continuation Series, a Speed Six Continuation Series and a Bacalar. For her, commissioning a car is not a formal exercise but a deeply personal process, focused on colour harmony, materials and detail. That philosophy defines every aspect of Batur Convertible #4.

For the first time in Bentley’s history, the exterior features a tri-tone paint scheme developed entirely from the client’s own commissioned colours. A 6 mm gloss silver fine line highlights the Batur’s distinctive “endless bonnet” design. The upper shade, Breslow Blue, was also colour-matched to the roof canvas, resulting in Bentley’s first bespoke coloured convertible roof. When stowed, it reveals an Airbridge finished in the same hue, reinforcing the car’s visual cohesion.

Colour detailing continues throughout the exterior, with a Midnight Breslow Blue bonnet pinstripe, coordinated accents on the wheels and wing mirrors, polished titanium exhaust finishers and bright silver grilles completing the look.

Personalisation becomes even more pronounced inside. Upon entry, an animated welcome lamp projects the owner’s handwritten name using 415,800 microscopic mirrors, shaping the light into one of the most individual features ever offered by Bentley.

The cabin balances this digital expression with warm, autumnal tones, combining tans, caramel shades and light blue accents that echo the bespoke Breslow Blue carried over from the exterior. Contrast stitching flows from the tonneau through the seats, headrests and instrument panel, while subtle references to Mount Batur are woven into the deep-pile floor mats.

Metal craftsmanship plays a central role. The fascia is finished in bright aluminium engine spin, inspired by early Bentleys, while the Bentley Rotating Display features bespoke coloured gauge faces matched to the satin blue clock. In another first for the brand, Batur Convertible #4 introduces three-dimensionally printed platinum elements, used for the steering wheel’s top dead centre marker and the organ stops.

Beneath its bespoke surface, the car retains Bentley’s most powerful version of the iconic W12 engine: a hand-assembled 6.0-litre twin-turbocharged unit producing 740 bhp. This places Batur Convertible firmly within the final chapter of Bentley’s W12 era.

Batur Convertible #4 ultimately illustrates Mulliner’s approach to modern coachbuilding, where limited-series models become deeply personal expressions shaped through close collaboration between client and craftspeople.
