Skoda published a story showing how its Enyaq electric car was used for long-distance travel across Europe, highlighting real routes, charging and everyday use.

Skoda has published a feature illustrating that long-distance travel across Europe in an electric car is no longer an experimental concept. Using a real ownership story, the company shows how its Enyaq electric SUV can handle extensive journeys across multiple countries without turning the trip itself into a logistical challenge.

The article focuses on an Enyaq owner who began exploring long routes soon after purchasing the car in 2022. One of his first major journeys was a family road trip across Poland, covering around 2,500 kilometres. According to Skoda, this early experience demonstrated that even for a first-time EV driver, travelling long distances was already feasible thanks to a sufficiently developed charging network.

A more demanding journey followed later the same year. As described in the article, the route led from the Czech Republic through Slovakia, Hungary, Serbia and Bulgaria to Greece, before continuing by ferry to Crete. In total, the car covered nearly 8,500 kilometres. Skoda notes that charging infrastructure in several of these regions was still at an early stage in 2022, and that Crete itself had only a limited number of public fast chargers at the time. Despite this, the journey was completed without major issues, albeit with careful planning.

The company also highlights everyday usability. Most charging takes place at home or at the office, while on long trips charging is increasingly combined with natural breaks such as meals, sightseeing or overnight stays at hotels offering charging facilities. Over time, this approach makes charging a background activity rather than a central concern of the journey.

Skoda uses the story to underline the technical capabilities of the Enyaq 80x Founders Edition. The article references its 77 kWh usable battery, DC fast-charging capability of up to 125 kW, all-wheel drive and a driving range that supports confident route planning. The limited-production Founders Edition is also presented as a model that combines distinctive equipment with everyday practicality.

By presenting this real-world experience, Skoda positions the Enyaq as evidence that electric vehicles are now capable of supporting genuine long-distance travel across Europe. The story suggests that, with current infrastructure and integrated charging services, crossing multiple countries in an electric car has become a realistic and predictable option.
