Geely has outlined a new phase of its development with the presentation of the “One Geely, Leading through Innovation and Integration” strategy, looking ahead to 2030. Rather than a simple adjustment of plans, the initiative signals a structural rethink of how the multi-brand automotive group operates on a global scale.

At the heart of the strategy is a shift away from largely independent brand operations toward deep internal collaboration. Over the next five years, Geely aims to establish unified strategic coordination, speed up decision-making, and scale technologies through shared development, common platforms, and integrated supply chains. While individual brands will retain their identities, the corporate Geely brand is set to play a stronger unifying role.

The ambitions are backed by clear targets. By 2030, Geely plans to exceed 6.5 million vehicles in global sales, rank among the world’s top five automakers by volume, and generate more than 1 trillion yuan in annual revenue. New energy vehicles are expected to account for over 75% of sales, with more than one-third delivered outside China. These goals build on recent momentum: in 2025, the group sold around 4.12 million vehicles, with total sales up 26% year on year and NEV deliveries rising 58%, lifting their share to 56%.

Technologically, the strategy is anchored in what Geely describes as a seven-dimension ecosystem, spanning intelligent driving, digital cockpits, E/E architecture, vehicle platforms, batteries, electric powertrains, and hybrid systems. The company says it aims to cut average development cycles and per-model costs by more than 30%, a move intended to sharpen competitiveness across both mass-market and premium segments.

Battery development is a central pillar. Geely is accelerating the industrialisation of semi-solid-state and solid-state technologies and expects to complete its first in-house solid-state battery pack before moving to vehicle testing. At the same time, its battery activities are being consolidated under the Jiyao Tongxing structure and the Shendun Golden Battery brand, positioning safety architecture and standardisation as long-term advantages.

The scope of the plan extends beyond vehicles. Geely is increasingly focused on ecosystem competitiveness, investing in user services, future mobility concepts, and alternative energy pathways. Its vision for next-generation mobility combines autonomous driving, robotaxi operations, and satellite infrastructure into an integrated ground–air–space model. In parallel, methanol-hydrogen electric technology remains a strategic field, already deployed across tens of thousands of vehicles and promoted as a scalable solution for multiple transport sectors.

Taken together, “One Geely” reflects a deliberate move from growth driven primarily by scale toward growth shaped by integration, efficiency, and technology depth. As the group approaches its 40th anniversary, the coming five years are positioned as a decisive window—one in which Geely aims to secure its place as a global automaker defined by electric, intelligent, and ecosystem-based mobility.
