The Corvette ZR1X is a rare case where bold claims are fully backed up by numbers. Its run at US 131 Motorsports Park in Michigan was not a private showcase but a test on a public drag strip, the same kind of venue familiar to owners of production cars. That context makes the achievement far more than a one-off headline.

The ZR1X did not appear overnight. The C8 platform was engineered with an extreme variant in mind from the beginning, and here that vision comes into focus. A mid-mounted twin-turbo LT7 V8 works in unison with an electric motor on the front axle, delivering a combined output of 1,250 horsepower. It is the most powerful Corvette ever built.
