Maserati MCPURA has taken centre stage in the “Novità dell’Anno 2026” readers’ award organised by Quattroruote, securing the Dream Car title with 50% of the total votes. The result highlights the strong appeal of Maserati’s latest super sports car among automotive enthusiasts.

The annual competition, launched by Quattroruote in 2000, is based entirely on reader voting. Since 2022, the format has included dedicated awards for Concept, Dream and Lifestyle models, with a fourth category, Volt, introduced in 2025 for fully electric vehicles. In each category, four shortlisted cars are selected by the editorial team before readers cast their votes online and via Instagram Stories.

MCPURA’s victory in the Dream Car category was particularly decisive. Capturing half of all votes, the model emerged as the clear favourite, underlining its role as a benchmark in the contemporary super sports car landscape.

The MCPURA represents the next step in Maserati’s MC family. Offered as both a coupé and the open-top MCPURA Cielo, it is defined by four core features: a carbon-fibre monocoque, the 630-hp Nettuno V6 engine with patented pre-chamber combustion technology, distinctive Butterfly doors and, on the Cielo version, a retractable electrochromic glass roof. Thanks to its lightweight yet rigid structure, overall weight remains below 1,500 kg, resulting in a class-leading power-to-weight ratio of 2.33 kg per hp.

The technical layout of the MCPURA reflects a clear focus on pure performance. By retaining a high-output internal-combustion powertrain without hybridisation, Maserati positions the car as a driver-centred super sports model with a strong mechanical character.

Visual identity also plays a central role. The MCPURA introduces a new colour palette inspired by Italian heritage, including the shimmering AI Aqua Rainbow, the bold Devil Orange and the refined Night Interaction. These are complemented by the Maserati Fuoriserie personalisation programme, which offers more than thirty exterior finishes, ranging from solid and metallic to multi-layer and matte options.

Commenting on the award, Maserati COO Santo Ficili подчеркнул its significance as a recognition coming directly from readers and automotive connoisseurs. He also paid tribute to the workforce at the historic Modena plant, whose craftsmanship continues to shape the brand’s identity.

The outcome of the “Novità dell’Anno 2026” vote reinforces the MCPURA’s position as a flagship model for Maserati and points to sustained enthusiasm for super sports cars that combine performance, design and individuality.
