Tesla has unveiled the updated version of its Model Y crossover, codenamed Juniper. The refreshed model is now available for order in Europe, capturing attention with its redesigned exterior and enhanced technical specifications.

Visually, the Model Y Juniper features narrower headlights and a modern LED light strip, giving the vehicle a sleek and dynamic look. The aerodynamic drag coefficient has been reduced from 0.23 to 0.22, directly contributing to increased driving range and overall efficiency. Inside, Tesla has upgraded the materials and improved sound insulation, making the cabin 20% quieter compared to the previous version.

European customers can choose from three variants. The base rear-wheel-drive version is equipped with a 62.5 kWh LFP battery, delivering 275 horsepower and accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.9 seconds. Its maximum WLTP range is 500 km, with prices starting at €44,990.

The Long Range variant with a single motor and a 78.4 kWh NMC battery offers an extended range of up to 622 km. It produces 304 horsepower and is priced from €49,990.

For those seeking maximum performance, the dual-motor Long Range version delivers 370 horsepower, accelerating to 100 km/h in just 4.8 seconds. With the same 78.4 kWh battery, it can travel up to 586 km on a single charge. This variant is priced from €52,990. Optional 20-inch Helix 2.0 wheels, available for an additional €2,200, add a sporty touch but reduce the range by 18 km.

Production of the updated Model Y takes place at Gigafactory Berlin-Brandenburg — Tesla's first European manufacturing facility. This plant plays a crucial role in the company's expansion in Europe, offering high localization levels and faster delivery times.

Competition in the electric crossover segment is intensifying. Key rivals include the BYD Sealion 7 and Porsche Macan Electric. The former stands out with its affordability and advanced features, while the latter emphasizes premium quality and sporty performance. Nevertheless, the updated Model Y, with its improved design, extended range, and enhanced aerodynamics, remains one of the most well-rounded options on the market.

The Juniper project represents a significant milestone for Tesla, focusing on increased comfort, advanced technology, and an improved user experience. These updates not only strengthen Tesla’s market position but also set a new benchmark for mid-segment electric crossovers.

The updated Model Y is expected to become a bestseller in Europe, thanks to its blend of cutting-edge technology, extended range, and competitive pricing. The first deliveries are scheduled for the coming months, with demand already exceeding analysts' expectations.
