Mercedes-Benz has launched one of the most ambitious anniversary projects in its history to mark 140 years of the brand. Under the title “140 Years. 140 Places,” the company has begun a global journey centered around the new S-Class.

The journey started immediately after the world premiere of the model on January 29, 2026. Three new S-Class sedans set off on the road, embarking on a drive of more than 50,000 kilometers that will take them to 140 symbolic locations across six continents. The route is conceived as a living narrative of the brand’s heritage, linking legendary roads, historic milestones, and major global cities that reflect Mercedes-Benz’s worldwide presence.

At various stages, the convoy is joined by classic Mercedes-Benz vehicles, current production models, and local fleet cars. This evolving line-up highlights the brand’s development over time, not in static displays but through real movement, connecting past and present in everyday environments. Each stop is designed to represent a distinct chapter in the company’s story, shaped by engineering innovation, design evolution, or cultural relevance.

Interaction with customers and fans plays a central role in the project. Along the route, the journey creates opportunities for in-person encounters with Mercedes-Benz Club members, clients, and local communities. These moments range from informal meetups to curated stories and regional highlights, giving the anniversary tour a strong human dimension.

The progress of the global drive can be followed online via the Mercedes-Benz community platforms and the brand’s official social media channels, where regular updates and visual content document the journey as it unfolds. New images and stories are added continuously.

The transcontinental tour is scheduled to conclude in Stuttgart in October 2026, returning to the place where the Mercedes-Benz story began. The closing chapter underscores the symbolic arc of the project—from the origins of the automobile to the modern interpretation of the S-Class as the brand’s technological and cultural flagship.
