XPENG announced a partnership with Voltron to launch Indonesia’s first 480 kW ultra-fast charging station, supporting the G6 Pro and expanding EV infrastructure.

XPENG has taken a major step in strengthening its presence in Indonesia by partnering with Voltron, the country’s largest private charging point operator, to introduce Indonesia’s first ultra-fast charging station with a capacity of up to 480 kW. The new facility is located at Living World Alam Sutera, supporting XPENG’s efforts to make electric vehicle ownership more practical through faster and more efficient charging infrastructure.

The station has been designed to support the charging performance of the XPENG G6 Pro, which the company describes as the first model in Indonesia equipped with full-domain 800V architecture and 5C battery technology. According to XPENG, the G6 Pro can accept charging power of up to 451 kW, enabling a battery recharge from 10% to 80% SoC in under 12 minutes when supported by the appropriate infrastructure.

XPENG Overseas Charging General Manager Lawrence Li noted that ultra-fast charging technology has often been limited by infrastructure availability. With the launch of the 480 kW charging station through the partnership with Voltron, XPENG expects Indonesian customers to finally experience the real-world benefits of its high-speed charging capabilities.

Voltron Indonesia CEO Andre Soetadji described the collaboration as a meaningful step for the country’s EV ecosystem, emphasizing that the rapid growth of electric vehicles must be matched by equally future-ready charging infrastructure. He stated that Voltron aims to build an open and scalable charging network capable of supporting next-generation EVs and improving the overall ownership experience.

The partnership was formalized through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed on February 3, 2026. Under the agreement, XPENG and Voltron have established a co-investment framework to expand high-performance charging (HPC) infrastructure, with both companies working together to identify premium locations for future charging sites.

As part of the rollout, Voltron’s network of more than 400 chargers is being integrated into the XPENG app. Users will be able to locate charging stations through the platform, while remote start and stop functions as well as payment capabilities are expected to follow in the near future. XPENG also stated that special discounts will be available for its users at co-branded charging stations once these features are launched.

The initiative reflects XPENG’s broader international charging strategy. The company said that as of December 2025, it had expanded its super-fast charging network across 31 countries and regions, providing access to 2.66 million charging piles, operating more than 3,000 self-operated charging stations, and managing over 17,000 self-operated charging piles.

With Indonesia’s EV market continuing to develop, the introduction of a charging station of this scale could signal a shift toward infrastructure that keeps pace with the arrival of new-generation electric vehicles. If the co-investment framework results in wider deployment of high-performance charging sites, XPENG may strengthen its long-term position in the region not only through its vehicles, but also through a more seamless and convenient charging ecosystem.
