HIVED Expands Fully Electric Fleet with 11 Mercedes-Benz eActros Trucks

The UK is taking another step towards sustainable logistics as HIVED, an eco-friendly delivery company, has ordered 11 Mercedes-Benz eActros 300 electric trucks. This purchase cements HIVED’s position as the country’s first fully electric delivery network. The trucks will be deployed in London to help cut CO₂ emissions in urban transport.
The eActros 300 boasts a range of up to 330 km per charge, making it ideal for city and regional deliveries. With its electric powertrain, the vehicle operates more quietly, reduces operational costs, and contributes to improving air quality in urban areas.
This move aligns with HIVED’s broader vision. The company already partners with major brands like Amazon, ASOS, and Zara and actively promotes its “zero emissions as standard” approach in logistics. Investing in a fully electric fleet is a logical step in this strategy.
What about charging infrastructure?
London currently has a network of over 20,000 charging stations, but it remains unclear where exactly HIVED will charge its eActros fleet. The UK government has been pushing for the transition to electric transport, offering grants and investment programs to support businesses in the sector. Billions of pounds have been allocated to facilitate this shift until 2025.
HIVED is not alone in this transition. Other major logistics players in the UK are also betting on electric trucks. Amazon has ordered 140 Mercedes-Benz eActros 600 trucks and several Volvo FM Electric models, while DFDS has already deployed 10 heavy-duty Volvo FM and FH electric trucks. This shift highlights a growing trend of replacing diesel vehicles with cleaner alternatives.
HIVED’s initiative underscores the rising importance of sustainable logistics in urban transport. The real question now is how quickly infrastructure and economic factors will adapt to support this transformation.
