The 2025 Porsche Carrera Cup Germany starts in Imola with 32 drivers and DTM Pro Climate fuel, marking a new step in sustainable motorsport.

The 36th season of the Porsche Sixt Carrera Cup Deutschland has launched with a high-octane debut at Imola’s historic Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari. A full grid of 32 Porsche 911 GT3 Cup cars — the maximum allowed — hit the track, setting the tone for a competitive and tightly packed season.

This year’s calendar includes 16 races across eight weekends and five countries: Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, Austria, and Italy. Each stop promises close battles and a showcase of both emerging talent and seasoned contenders.

Among the key stories is the debut of Emely de Heus. The 22-year-old Dutch driver, representing ID Racing, returns a female presence to the German Carrera Cup after several years. Transitioning from the F1 Academy to the more physically demanding GT racing format, de Heus is under the spotlight. While results from Imola are not yet published, her adaptation to the new format is closely watched by fans and media alike.

The title fight is expected to center around Porsche Juniors Alessandro Ghiretti (Schumacher CLRT) and Theo Oeverhaus (Bonk Motorsport). With Schumacher CLRT entering the series as reigning Porsche Supercup team champions, expectations are high.

One of the most significant changes this season is the switch to synthetic fuel. All cars now run on “DTM Pro Climate” — a fossil-free fuel developed by Coryton that reduces CO₂ emissions by 75%. The move aligns with Porsche’s and ADAC’s broader commitment to sustainable racing, also adopted in DTM, GT Masters, and GT4 Germany series.

Fans can follow all races live via the Porsche Motorsport Hub, YouTube, and Facebook. For German-speaking audiences, coverage is also provided on ProSieben’s ran platform, with additional reporting by ntv, Auto Motor und Sport TV, and Motorvision.

The 2025 season not only promises thrilling motorsport action but also reflects the broader evolution of racing — towards inclusivity, sustainability, and technological innovation. The Porsche Sixt Carrera Cup Deutschland continues to stand out as one of Europe’s most vibrant and forward-looking one-make series.
