Maserati unveiled the Grecale Cristallo Special Edition in Cortina d’Ampezzo during Milano Cortina 2026 initiatives, highlighting Fuoriserie design.

Maserati is placing Cortina at the center of its global narrative as attention builds around the Milano Cortina 2026 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games. Rather than simply displaying cars, the brand has created a broader cultural setting where design, gastronomy, sport and art intersect.

As part of Stellantis’ agreement with the Organising Committee, Maserati is among the brands involved as Automotive Premium Partner of the Games. Official communications reference a fleet of around 3,000 vehicles provided to support mobility during the event. For Maserati, this role represents not only a logistical contribution but also a strategic opportunity to reinforce its identity on an international stage.

The focal point of its presence in the Dolomites is Casa Maserati, an immersive space created in Cortina d’Ampezzo within the Alajmo Cortina restaurant. The opening event on 10 February brought together figures from sport, business and entertainment, including actor Jeremy Renner and the brand’s new ambassador, Roberto Bolle.

At the center of attention stood the Maserati Grecale Cristallo Special Edition, a version inspired by Monte Cristallo. Its exterior is finished in Azzurro Aureo, a distinctive shade enriched with golden mica, referencing the symbolism of Olympic gold. The look is completed by 21-inch CRIO diamond-cut wheels and body-coloured grille inserts. Inside, Premium Ghiaccio leather reinforces the Alpine inspiration.

The special edition is available in Modena, Trofeo and fully electric Folgore variants. For the 2026 model year, Grecale features a revised line-up: the Modena V6 delivers 386 hp, the Trofeo produces 523 hp, and the electric Folgore offers a stated driving range of up to 275 miles. In the United States, starting prices are listed at $86,495 for the Modena V6, $119,495 for the Trofeo and $121,290 for the Folgore. Published materials do not indicate unique powertrain changes specific to the Cristallo edition, with emphasis placed instead on design and personalization.

Personalisation remains central to the concept. Grecale Cristallo is developed within the Fuoriserie programme, Maserati’s dedicated customization platform, structured around the Corse and Futura lines and further expanded through the BottegaFuoriserie initiative led by Cristiano Fiorio. This framework enables distinctive configurations without altering the model’s core engineering.

The cultural dimension of Maserati’s Olympic presence is also reflected in its collaboration with Giorgetti. Cortina hosted the debut of NEREO, a design table football piece from the Giorgetti Maserati Edition collection, underscoring the brand’s ambition to extend its narrative beyond automotive boundaries into the wider sphere of Italian craftsmanship.

The appointment of Roberto Bolle as new Brand Ambassador reinforces this positioning. The internationally recognised Italian dancer, known for performances on leading stages worldwide, embodies the balance of aesthetics and motion that Maserati associates with its identity.

Against the backdrop of a global sporting event, Maserati gains more than a display platform. Olympic partnerships are widely regarded as instruments for enhancing international visibility, and participation in Milano Cortina 2026 forms part of a broader communication strategy in which the automobile becomes a starting point for expressing design, technology and Italian cultural excellence.
