Stellantis announces the 2026 Ram 1500 Rebel X with a 420-hp Hurricane I-6, Rough Road Cruise Control and upgraded tech. Explore full specs and pricing.

Ram is bringing back one of its most distinctive off-road trims for the 2026 model year: the Ram 1500 Rebel X is officially returning to the light-duty lineup. Stellantis says the move is driven by customer demand, with the Rebel X described as a clear favorite that earned its way back into production.

The concept behind the Rebel X remains straightforward: take the standard Rebel and push it further, blending off-road hardware with added comfort and performance-focused features, all packaged as a value-minded upgrade. In other words, it aims to deliver a more premium Rebel experience without abandoning the rugged personality that made the nameplate popular in the first place.

For 2026, the Rebel X is offered as an upgrade package for the Ram 1500 Rebel equipped with the Level 2 Equipment Group and the 3.0-liter S.O. Hurricane Twin Turbo inline-six. Output is rated at 420 horsepower and 469 lb-ft of torque, giving the Rebel X serious muscle alongside its off-road credentials.

The package adds a number of interior and performance touches, including a dual-pane panoramic sunroof, a console-mounted leather-wrapped performance shifter, steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters, premium leather and vinyl bucket seats with red accent stitching, and a red-accented glass-encased “Rebel X” badge in the center console. Exterior changes include “Rebel X” bedside graphics.

The headline feature, however, is Rough Road Cruise Control, an advanced system offered exclusively on the Rebel X. It is designed to maintain a steady off-road speed of up to 20 mph while automatically adjusting suspension damping and steering weight based on terrain, allowing the driver to focus more on wheel placement and obstacles.

Beyond that tech upgrade, the Rebel X retains the Rebel’s core trail-ready equipment. Standard hardware includes a 1-inch suspension lift with Bilstein front and rear monotube shocks, an electronic locking rear differential, underbody skid plates, front tow hooks, and black 18-inch wheels wrapped in 33-inch all-terrain tires.

Comfort and technology remain central to the Rebel X formula. Level 2 features include a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a massive 14.5-inch Uconnect 5 touchscreen, and a 19-speaker Harman Kardon premium audio system. The truck also offers a 10.25-inch front passenger interactive display and dual wireless charging pads, along with heated and ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, and a heated leather steering wheel.

The Rebel X also introduces a new paint option called Tank Clear-Coat, a military green-inspired color that will be available on select models across the Ram 1500 lineup.

Orders for the 2026 Ram 1500 Rebel X are now open, with pricing starting at $71,930, including destination and the Rebel Level 2 Equipment Group.

With buyers increasingly expecting full-size trucks to combine genuine off-road capability with high-end tech and comfort, the return of the Rebel X suggests Ram sees continued demand for a model that sits right in the middle of those priorities.
