The Fiat Grande Panda has made a strong entrance into 2025 by winning the “Best Urban Vehicle” award from the Spanish magazine Mujer Hoy. Presented at the 13th edition of the Motor Awards in Madrid, the prize recognizes the model’s avant-garde design, eco-friendly approach, and clever urban solutions.

Developed by Centro Stile Fiat in Turin, the Grande Panda stays true to the original 1980 Panda’s spirit of practicality, now reinvented for the modern city. Available in both hybrid and fully electric versions, the EV variant offers a range of up to 320 km and supports fast charging at up to 100 kW. One of its standout features is an integrated spiral charging cable stored under the bonnet — a practical and space-saving innovation.

Sustainability plays a key role in the design, with the use of recycled aluminum, plastic from beverage cartons, and bamboo-fiber textiles throughout the interior. With a 361-liter boot and a compact length of 3.99 meters, the Grande Panda is positioned as one of the most versatile options in its class.

Following its European debut in early 2025, the model generated around 15,000 orders within the first two weeks — a promising start amid Fiat’s recent sales challenges on the continent. The car is expected to reach UK showrooms in spring, and a region-specific version named Fiat Uno is slated for launch in Brazil in 2026.

Early reviews from UK and German media outlets describe it as one of the most affordable EVs on the market, highlighting its thoughtful interior, reliable drivetrains, and user-friendly innovations that simplify everyday driving.

Built on Stellantis' Smart Car platform, the Grande Panda sets the stage for Fiat’s future models. The Mujer Hoy award marks not just an achievement, but also a signal of renewed momentum for Fiat in the urban mobility segment.
