Discover the Mercedes Vision V, an all-electric luxury minivan concept with 65" cinema screen, Dolby Atmos sound, and private lounge. The future of premium mobility.

Mercedes-Benz has officially unveiled the Vision V — a conceptual minivan that marks the brand’s entry into a new segment of ultra-luxury limousines. Debuting at the Shanghai Auto Show, the Vision V reflects a bold fusion of digital innovation, comfort, and exclusivity.

The show car is based on the Van Electric Architecture (VAN.EA), a modular and scalable EV platform set to power future Mercedes-Benz vans starting in 2026. Designed to accommodate everything from family vans to executive limousines, VAN.EA provides the technical foundation for the Vision V's luxury-driven approach, focused on a new "Private Lounge" experience in the rear cabin.

The interior makes a powerful statement. A retractable 65-inch 4K cinema screen, a 42-speaker Dolby Atmos sound system with haptic feedback, and seven projectors offer a fully immersive experience. Passengers can switch between modes like Gaming, Relax, Work, and even Karaoke. A touchscreen control panel orchestrates these features, while switchable glass elements provide instant privacy.

Premium materials dominate the cabin: crystal-white Nappa leather, shimmering silk, open-pore dark wood, and brushed aluminum accents create the ambiance of a designer lounge. Even the center console becomes a fold-out chessboard — a tribute to craftsmanship and prestige.

Technically, the Vision V offers an expected range of up to 500 km and supports fast charging thanks to its 800-volt system. This aligns with Mercedes-Benz’s broader push to electrify its van lineup, with production already carbon-neutral and an ambitious goal to incorporate 40% recycled materials into future vehicles.

The Vision V is aimed at affluent customers seeking more than just mobility — it’s a mobile space for living, working, and experiencing. Analysts suggest the model could find a strong market in China, where personal luxury and digital sophistication are increasingly prized.

This concept car is not just a design exercise. Vision V signals a shift in the luxury van segment, where Mercedes-Benz plans to set new standards by blending traditional elegance with cutting-edge technology.
