Bentley introduces hybrid Continental GT, GT Convertible, and Flying Spur at Auto Shanghai 2025, highlighting luxury, performance, and wellness.

Bentley has unveiled the next chapter in its grand touring legacy at Auto Shanghai 2025, showcasing the latest iterations of its Continental GT, GT Convertible, and Flying Spur models. Each now comes in three versions — the core model, a powerful Speed edition, and a comfort-focused Azure variant that redefines luxury through wellbeing and innovation.

The highlight of this update is the debut of Bentley’s new High Performance Hybrid powertrain. Marrying a 4.0-litre V8 with an electric motor, it delivers 680 PS and 930 Nm of torque. The Speed version raises the bar further to 771 PS — the most powerful production Bentley to date — sprinting from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.1 seconds. Notably, the hybrid system allows for up to 80 km of electric-only driving.

Azure models are tailored with a science-backed approach to comfort, developed with input from neuroscientists and wellness experts. Features like heated, ventilated, and massaging seats, low NVH interiors, open-pore wood veneers, and ambient lighting create a sanctuary-like cabin designed to reduce driver fatigue during long journeys.

Particularly eye-catching is the Bentayga EWB Azure, Bentley’s extended-wheelbase SUV flagship, presented in a bespoke Nīla Blue shade. Inspired by British designer Supriya Lele’s Indian heritage, the hue embodies a blend of cultural depth and artisanal craft — a vivid fusion of haute couture and high-end automotive design.

The new models are already available for order. UK pricing starts at £236,600, and in the US from $250,000. A Russian dealership listed the Continental GT at RUB 59.5 million. Despite a dip in China sales in 2023, Bentley’s presence at Auto Shanghai signals the market’s continued strategic value and the brand’s intent to meet evolving luxury tastes.

CEO Dr. Frank-Steffen Walliser emphasized that the updated range not only broadens customer choice but also aligns with Bentley’s Beyond100+ strategy — a commitment to transition to fully electric vehicles by 2035. With Shanghai as a launchpad, Bentley charts a clear course toward a sustainable future anchored in performance, elegance, and wellbeing.
