Experience the 1970s with Porsche’s 911 Spirit 70 on Apple Vision Pro

Explore the Porsche 911 Spirit 70 in a new Vision Pro app. Customize retro designs, learn its history, and configure your dream car in immersive 3D.
Porsche has unveiled more than just a new car—it has launched a time capsule into the digital age. With the debut of the limited-run Porsche 911 Spirit 70 on April 23, 2025, the brand introduced a tailor-made app for the Apple Vision Pro headset. This convertible, based on the GTS model and limited to just 1,500 units, pays homage to the vibrant spirit of the 1970s—from exterior color schemes to iconic interior details.
The app immerses users in the style and triumphs of that decade. It allows step-by-step customization of the vehicle, supported by interactive tutorials that explain the design choices of the era. Over ten authentic Porsche colors from the 70s are featured, each accompanied by rich historical context. Every detail—paint finishes, racing stripes, seat patterns, and number decals—is visualized in real time using the spatial computing capabilities of Apple Vision Pro.
Highlights include the legendary “Pasha” seat design, retro decals, and vintage racing typography, enabling users to recreate not just a car, but an entire era’s emotional landscape. Once the customization process is complete, users can either continue refining their car in the Car Configurator or save their design via an Apple Wallet Pass.
The app is currently exclusive to the Apple Vision Pro, with no versions announced for other Apple devices. The 911 Spirit 70 starts at £187,700 (approximately €218,000), reflecting its rarity, iconic appeal, and integration of cutting-edge digital technology. While production is limited, demand may remain strong, driven by this compelling blend of nostalgia and innovation.
