Porsche has unveiled the third model in its Heritage Design strategy at the Shanghai Auto Show — the limited-run 911 Spirit 70. Paying homage to the spirit of the 1970s and early '80s, this Cabriolet is limited to just 1,500 units and channels the era’s unique blend of freedom, style, and emotional connection.

Based on the Porsche 911 Carrera GTS Cabriolet, the Spirit 70 features a newly developed hybrid powertrain. A 3.6-liter flat-six engine combined with eTurbo technology, an electric motor, and an 8-speed PDK transmission produces 541 hp and 610 Nm of torque. The car accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.1 seconds and reaches a top speed of 312 km/h. Fuel consumption is rated at 10.7–10.8 l/100 km with CO₂ emissions of 242–246 g/km.

The exterior is a visual time capsule. Finished in an exclusive Olive Neo paint with Bronzite accents, it features black silk-gloss stripes and retro Porsche badging, including a near-identical crest from 1963. The black soft top and Sport Classic wheels further reinforce its period look.

Inside, the iconic black/Olive Neo Pasha pattern dominates, recalling racing heritage and graphic design from the era. Porsche has replaced classic jacquard with modern flocked textiles for improved comfort and tactile feel. The fully digital 12.65-inch cluster features green digits and white pointers in analog style, reminiscent of the Porsche 356 dashboard. Even the Sport Chrono stopwatch embraces this color scheme.
