Bentley launches Heritage Leather for new models, blending 1930s craftsmanship with modern luxury. Discover sustainable, authentic interiors.

Bentley continues to honor its rich tradition and craftsmanship by introducing a new interior option — Heritage Leather. Inspired by the elegance of the 1930s, this leather was initially developed by Mulliner for the Blower and Speed Six Continuation Series and is now available for the brand’s latest models.

Crafted by Bridge of Weir, Heritage Leather features an authentic two-tone finish and distinctive haircell grain texture. The available colors — deep Ox Blood Red and classic Parsons Napier Green — were chosen based on original Bentley archives from the pre-war era.

To showcase this new personalization option, Bentley commissioned a special version of the fourth-generation Continental GT Mulliner, styled to mirror the Factory Works Speed Six Continuation Series. Despite 95 years of evolution, both vehicles share the same Bedford Grey exterior paint and feature interiors trimmed in Ox Blood Red Heritage Leather. However, while the Speed Six features simpler upholstery with traditional fluting and an embossed "B" emblem on the door panels, the Continental GT highlights the full range of Mulliner’s craftsmanship, including quilted and embroidered seat uppers, diamond-patterned perforations, and contrast embroidery and piping.

Inspired by the upholstery techniques of the 1920s and 1930s, Mulliner’s craftsmen preserved the high tactility and durability in the new material. Traditional methods such as fluting, perforations, embossing, and embroidery were combined with natural oils and waxes to recreate the subtle gloss of aged leather. Heritage Leather not only delivers the appearance of timeworn elegance but also meets the rigorous durability standards of modern Bentleys.

Sustainability is a key pillar: Bridge of Weir produces the world’s lowest carbon leather through responsible sourcing and innovative circular manufacturing. In doing so, Bentley takes a meaningful step into the future, while preserving the spirit and beauty of its historic legacy.
