The 2026 Genesis G70 enters the new model year with a series of calculated adjustments rather than a dramatic overhaul. The trim lineup has been restructured, certain features have been removed, and most notably, the top trim sees a $2,500 price reduction compared to the previous year.

Pricing now starts at $42,850. The 3.3T Sport Prestige with all-wheel drive begins at $55,000, and the tested configuration reached $57,455 including destination and accessories. That makes this top trim approximately $2,500 less expensive than its 2025 counterpart.

The 3.3T Sport Advanced trim has been discontinued, while the former 2.5T Sport Prestige is now simply called Prestige. The lineup feels more streamlined and easier to navigate.

Two engines remain available. The 3.3-liter twin-turbocharged V6 produces 365 horsepower and 376 lb-ft of torque, paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission. Combined fuel economy with all-wheel drive stands at 19 mpg. The 2.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder delivers 300 horsepower and 311 lb-ft of torque. Rear-wheel drive is standard across the lineup, with all-wheel drive available.

Exterior design remains largely unchanged, though a new Capri Blue color replaces two previous blue shades. The 3.3T Sport Prestige features a smoked chrome grille, 19-inch gloss black alloy wheels, and Brembo brakes with red calipers on V6 models. The rear continues to showcase full LED lighting and quad integrated exhaust outlets, maintaining a clean yet athletic stance.

Inside, design stays familiar but materials shift slightly. The 3.3T Sport Prestige now uses genuine leather instead of Napa leather, and the suede headliner has been removed. A heated steering wheel is standard on all but the base trim, while ventilated seats are included on all but the base as well. A 15-speaker Lexicon audio system is fitted to every trim except the entry model.

The infotainment system retains a 10.25-inch display and still requires a wired connection for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. In a segment increasingly defined by large digital interfaces, this setup begins to show its age.

Trunk capacity measures 10.5 cubic feet, placing the G70 among the smaller offerings in the compact luxury sedan class. The fully power-operated trunk has also been removed for 2026. Rear-seat space provides 35 inches of legroom and 37 inches of headroom, though heated rear seats are not available.

On the road, the V6 delivers strong acceleration and confident traction with all-wheel drive. Cabin noise measured 57.2 dB at 55 mph. Adaptive dampers have been discontinued for 2026, yet the standard suspension setup still balances comfort and sport effectively.

Estimated resale value stands at 42.08% after five years and 60,000 miles, and 12.4% after ten years and 120,000 miles. Reliability aligns with the overall industry average. Warranty coverage includes 5 years/60,000 miles basic, 10 years/100,000 miles powertrain, and 3 years/36,000 miles of complimentary maintenance.
