Skoda presents the Elroq Respectline concept for European Diversity Month, highlighting inclusion, mutual respect, and a unique light-up front grille.

Skoda Auto is preparing to unveil a new concept where design, technology, and inclusion intersect. On May 5, 2025, the company will officially present the Elroq Respectline, a vibrant concept electric vehicle created for European Diversity Month. While it won’t enter mass production, its significance extends far beyond the automotive world.

The Elroq Respectline is more than a visual experiment. It carries a philosophy of mutual respect, equality, and acceptance—values that Skoda aims to reflect in every detail. Building on a previous effort, the same team that developed the 2023 Enyaq Coupé Respectline has taken the lead on this new project as well. According to project coordinator Petr Kavrentzis, the team was already well-acquainted and brought a sense of playfulness to the process—something that is said to be felt in the final design.

Although detailed visuals remain under wraps, one striking feature has been revealed: a light-up front grille that serves as a glowing metaphor for openness and attention to detail. Other design elements will stay confidential until the official reveal.

The foundation of the concept is the production Skoda Elroq, which introduces the brand’s “Modern Solid” design language. This model features a streamlined Tech-Deck Face, Škoda lettering in place of the traditional logo, and aerodynamic efficiency with a drag coefficient of just 0.26. However, the Respectline version evolves these ideas into a symbolic gesture—emphasizing social values through design.

The success of the 2023 Respectline concept sets a precedent. That earlier model was showcased at events like Prague Pride and a Czech Philharmonic concert, resonating strongly with diverse audiences on both visual and ideological levels.

While full details of the new concept will be revealed at the debut, it is already evident that the Elroq Respectline aims to redefine what a car can represent—not just technologically advanced, but also socially conscious and culturally relevant.
