Cadillac Formula 1 Team reveals new logo before 2026 season

Cadillac F1 Team presents its logo before joining Formula 1 in 2026, reflecting American identity and GM’s bold racing ambitions.
The Cadillac Formula 1 Team has unveiled its new logo—a move that marks not just a visual rebranding, but a declaration of intent on the global motorsport stage. The logo was revealed in a video released ahead of the 2025 Miami Grand Prix, signaling a key milestone on the road to the team’s Formula One debut in 2026.
The team is the result of a partnership between General Motors and TWG Motorsports, the racing arm of investment group TWG Global, led by Mark Walter. With ties to established motorsport entities like Andretti Global and Wayne Taylor Racing, the collaboration builds a strong American foundation and highlights Cadillac’s strategic ambition in Formula 1.
According to GM President Mark Reuss, Cadillac enters the F1 stage backed by a legacy of innovation and boldness. The new logo reflects these very traits, blending elements of American identity with the spirit of a premium brand renowned for its technological precision and pursuit of excellence.
Veteran motorsport executive Graham Loudon has been appointed team principal, bringing experience from teams like Marussia and Virgin Racing. Among the first confirmed drivers is Sergio Pérez, who is set to leave Red Bull at the end of the 2025 season. American driver Colton Herta is also in the frame, though he still needs to secure the final points required for a FIA super license.
In its early years, Cadillac F1 will run Ferrari power units, while GM continues to develop its own engine, projected to be ready by 2029. A dedicated engine facility is under construction in Concord, North Carolina, with an $85 million investment expected to create up to 350 jobs.
Cadillac’s entry into Formula One is more than a competitive leap; it’s a cultural moment for American motorsport. With F1's growing popularity in the U.S.—aided by the success of Netflix’s “Drive to Survive”—the arrival of an American team could play a pivotal role in expanding the sport’s domestic audience.
