TAG Heuer Porsche Formula E Team earns 19 points in Monaco with da Costa’s fastest lap and P4 finish, holding top spot in team standings.

The TAG Heuer Porsche Formula E Team wrapped up the Monaco race weekend on a high note, scoring 19 points in the second race and maintaining their lead in the overall standings. In challenging weather conditions, with wet asphalt and low grip, António Félix da Costa crossed the finish line in fourth place and picked up an additional point for the fastest lap within the top ten.

This result was especially valuable following Saturday’s dramatic events, when da Costa had to retire after a collision with Edoardo Mortara. The damage to his car was significant enough that the mechanics had to completely rebuild it overnight, working until 2 a.m. Their efforts paid off: both Porsche drivers finished in the top ten on Sunday, with Pascal Wehrlein climbing from 17th to seventh.

Porsche's consistency shows not only on track but also on the leaderboard. After seven rounds, the team still holds first place in the teams’ championship, despite mounting pressure from Nissan. Da Costa’s strong Sunday performance pushed him to second in the drivers’ standings, with Wehrlein close behind in third.

Yet, the team admits that tyre warm-up remains a key challenge, especially in cooler and damp conditions. Wehrlein himself pointed out grip issues early in the race that cost him several positions. Improving tyre behaviour across varying track conditions will be a focal point ahead of the next round in Tokyo.

Amid unpredictable weather, technical hurdles, and fierce championship battles, Porsche’s Monaco performance stands as a testament to their teamwork and racing spirit. The Tokyo street circuit lies ahead, and the team prepares with confidence built on experience and a solid points haul.
