BMW M Motorsport enters 11 BMW M4 GT3 EVO cars, including five in Pro Cup, for the 2025 24 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps. Rossi, Magnussen, and Rast among drivers.

BMW M Motorsport is gearing up for an all-out assault on the 24 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps. In the 2025 edition of the world’s biggest GT3 race, the German manufacturer will field a record eleven BMW M4 GT3 EVOs. The event will take place at the end of June on the iconic Belgian circuit.

Five of these cars will compete in the top-tier Pro Cup class, and all eyes will be on car #46, featuring an extraordinary trio: Valentino Rossi, Kevin Magnussen, and René Rast. Rossi returns to Spa with past experience, Magnussen will make his GT3 debut with BMW, and Rast — a two-time winner at Spa — rejoins Team WRT for another challenge.

Belgian outfit Team WRT, racing on home soil, will field three Pro Cup entries. Among the favorites is car #32, with Belgians Ugo de Wilde and Charles Weerts teaming up with South African Kelvin van der Linde — a trio that already claimed victory at the season opener in Le Castellet. Meanwhile, car #31 brings together Sheldon van der Linde, Dries Vanthoor, and Marco Wittmann, all of whom are part of BMW’s LMDh program.

ROWE Racing, another key BMW partner, expands its Pro Cup presence from one to two cars. The #98 entry features Augusto Farfus, Jesse Krohn, and Raffaele Marciello. In car #998, former BMW Junior Team members Philipp Eng, Dan Harper, and Max Hesse will reunite. Eng, already a three-time Spa winner, is aiming for a fourth triumph.

Six more BMW M4 GT3 EVOs will compete in other categories — Gold, Silver, and Bronze Cup — bringing BMW’s total participation to a level not seen since 2015, when the Z4 GT3 was still in action.

The official test session known as the Prologue will take place a week before the race. It offers teams a crucial opportunity to fine-tune their setups and reacquaint themselves with the challenging terrain of Spa-Francorchamps.

“We've never had such a strong presence — eleven cars on the grid, five of them targeting the overall win,” said BMW M Motorsport boss Andreas Roos. He highlighted the role of customer teams and reaffirmed BMW’s confidence in the competitiveness of the M4 GT3 EVO across all classes.

The Pro Cup line-ups reflect a calculated blend of experience, talent, and star power. Whether BMW will secure its 26th overall victory at Spa remains to be seen, but one thing is clear: fans are watching closely, and the stakes are higher than ever.
