Skoda presents the Elroq Respectline, a rainbow-colored concept EV celebrating individuality, sustainability, and diversity through striking design and innovation.

The Elroq Respectline concept car marks another chapter in Skoda's ongoing commitment to embracing diversity and respect. Built on the sporty Elroq Sportline platform, this electric vehicle immediately stands out with its rainbow-colored bodywork — a vibrant statement of individuality and inclusion that goes far beyond technical innovation.

Inspired by the Enyaq Coupé Respectline launched in 2023, the new model continues the visual narrative of equality and openness. While the earlier version hinted subtly at these values, the Elroq Respectline amplifies the message with bold color transitions and design accents. The highlight is the Spectrum Light Band — an animated grille lighting system featuring 274 LEDs, including 142 in the central band and 66 in each headlamp. Together, they create smooth color gradients that mirror the harmony of diverse perspectives.

“The world is full of color — literally and metaphorically,” says exterior designer Daniel Petr. In his view, the Elroq Respectline turns this notion into a vivid visual experience, while preserving the essence of its sporty roots.

The cabin is equally expressive. Finished in electric green and rainbow motifs, it incorporates sustainable materials like Recytitan — a textile made from recycled PET bottles and second-hand clothing. Skoda’s designers used tonal stitching, textured embroidery, and multi-color 3D printing for signature elements, including the Respectline badge at the base of the steering wheel.

More than a design experiment, the Elroq Respectline is intended to be seen and celebrated in public spaces. It will appear at cultural events such as the Metronome Festival, Prague Pride, and even the Tour de France. As part of the project, Skoda partnered with Czech footwear brand Botas to create a limited edition of sneakers echoing the car's message, complete with rainbow embroidery and signature design cues.

Although it remains a concept, the Respectline reflects the brand’s ESG ambitions — from sustainable sourcing to advocating individual dignity. There’s growing speculation that some of these bold design elements may eventually make their way into Skoda's production lineup.
