BMW M Motorsport dominates GT championships with M4 EVO models

BMW M Motorsport teams achieve major wins with M4 GT3 and GT4 EVO across Europe, America, and China, marking a strong 2025 season.
BMW M Motorsport continues to gain momentum on the global racing stage. Following an intense May, the BMW M division has secured impressive results across major championships — spanning Europe, America, and China. The debut EVO models, BMW M4 GT3 EVO and M4 GT4 EVO, are living up to expectations and firmly establishing the brand’s presence in customer racing.
At the forefront is Team WRT, which is dominating the GT World Challenge Europe. After three race weekends, the Belgian team leads the Sprint Cup, the Endurance Cup, and the combined standings. Wins at Le Castellet and Zandvoort — the latter claimed by Kelvin van der Linde and Charles Weerts — have secured top positions for both team and drivers. Precise and strategic pit stops played a pivotal role, especially at Zandvoort, where a rapid stop lifted the team from sixth to first.
Across the Atlantic in GT World Challenge America, BMW was equally successful. Random Vandals Racing, with Connor De Phillippi and Kenton Koch, clinched both races at Sebring, bringing their season tally to four wins out of six starts and earning them the overall points lead. In the Pro-Am category, Robby Foley and Justin Rothberg (Turner Motorsport) maintained their class lead with a win and a podium finish.
GT4 America also saw a commanding performance from BMW teams at Sebring, with two triple-podium finishes. Kenton Koch added to his GT3 success by winning both GT4 races with Kevin Boehm in the BMW M4 GT4 EVO, completing a near-perfect weekend for him and Random Vandals Racing.
BMW’s momentum wasn’t limited to North America. In the GT4 European Series, Jean-Mathieu Leandri and Antoni de Barn of CHAZEL Technologie Course continued their dominance in the Am category. In the GT Cup Series, which kicked off at the Red Bull Ring, BMW teams captured second and third in the endurance race and won both sprints. Meanwhile, in China’s GT Championship, Erik Johansson and Huang Ruohan claimed two more victories in Shanghai for FIST Team AAI, extending Johansson’s winning streak to four and placing him at the top of the driver standings.
Though the season is far from over, BMW’s form is already impressive. The new EVO models are more than just upgrades — they’re a strategic leap forward that’s clearly paying off. With the 24h Nürburgring and the launch of the BMW M2 Racing car ahead, fresh challenges await. But for now, the trajectory remains strong.
