Porsche reports the debut of the Cayenne S Electric, a new all-electric SUV positioned between Cayenne Electric and Turbo, featuring 544 hp, up to 653 km WLTP range.

Porsche has expanded the all-electric Cayenne lineup with the introduction of the Cayenne S Electric, a new version positioned between the standard Cayenne Electric and the flagship Cayenne Turbo Electric. The model aims to strike a balance between performance, efficiency and an expanded range of equipment.

The new SUV features an all-wheel-drive system with synchronous electric motors on both the front and rear axles. The combined output reaches 400 kW (544 hp), increasing to 490 kW (666 hp) with Launch Control. This allows the Cayenne S Electric to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.8 seconds, while the top speed reaches 250 km/h.

The vehicle is equipped with a high-voltage battery rated at 113 kWh. According to WLTP figures, the driving range can reach up to 653 kilometres. Thanks to the 800-volt architecture and support for high-power charging stations, the battery can be charged from 10 to 80 percent in less than 16 minutes under optimal conditions.

One of the key technical features of the powertrain is the direct oil cooling system for the rear electric motor. Instead of removing heat from the outside of the stator, the cooling medium flows directly along the copper windings, allowing heat to dissipate more efficiently and enabling sustained high performance. The concept draws on technology developed in motorsport, including projects related to Porsche’s involvement in Formula E.

Driving dynamics are further enhanced by electronic chassis systems. Among the available options is Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus, an electronically controlled rear differential lock designed to improve traction, stability and cornering precision. The Porsche Active Ride suspension can also be specified, using active control to counteract body roll and maintain stability while preserving a high level of ride comfort.

A temporary boost in power is available through the Push-to-Pass function. In the Cayenne S Electric it provides up to 90 kW of additional power for around ten seconds, for example when overtaking. The system is complemented by a Track Mode that prepares the battery and powertrain for maximum performance.

Visually, the Cayenne S Electric features model-specific front and rear sections finished in Volcano Grey Metallic, along with 20-inch Cayenne S Aero wheels. Buyers can choose from 13 exterior colours and a range of interior packages, reflecting Porsche’s emphasis on personalisation.

At the same time, Porsche introduced a new personalisation concept under the Director’s Cuts label, created jointly by Style Porsche and Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur. The first offering is the Interior Style Package, available for all Cayenne Electric models.

The package creates a distinctive cabin with two-tone leather upholstery in Black and Delgada Green, decorative stitching, an embroidered outline of the Porsche crest on the headrests and aluminium trim elements painted in Izabal Green. The colour theme extends to details such as the steering wheel accents, instrument displays and even the vehicle key, while illuminated door sill guards complete the design.

The arrival of the Cayenne S Electric reflects Porsche’s broader strategy to expand its electric portfolio. The company has previously stated its goal of increasing the share of fully electric vehicles in its sales to more than 80 percent by 2030. Within this context, the S version broadens the Cayenne Electric range, offering customers an additional choice between the entry-level and Turbo models in the growing segment of high-performance electric SUVs.
