The Mercedes-Benz Museum in Stuttgart is once again turning into a vibrant summer destination, inviting the public to experience a mix of cinema, culture, family-friendly activities, and classic automotive flair. This year’s programme, running through the summer of 2025, brings back beloved formats with fresh touches and a few notable highlights.

From 16 August to 3 September, the Museum’s open-air cinema will light up the evenings with a curated selection of current films. The screenings begin at dusk, turning the area around the museum into a scenic theater under the stars. Among the announced features is the racing drama “F1,” starring Brad Pitt and co-produced by seven-time Formula 1 World Champion Lewis Hamilton, set to screen on 2 September. The announcement of this high-profile film adds significant appeal to the cinema line-up, particularly for motorsport fans.

Meanwhile, the Urban Culture series returns from 10 July to 10 August with performances by regional artists across genres. Singer Vanessa Mai will take the stage on 11 July, while the dino-metal band Heavysaurus will perform on 25 July, promising an energetic show for younger audiences and their families. The programme also includes popular events such as “MAMAGEHTTANZEN” and “Comedy Clash goes Open Air,” indicating a diverse cultural offering that continues to evolve since the series' launch in 2021.

On 13 July, the Museum hosts its annual Family Day. Starting at 11:00 am, visitors can take part in a variety of games, sports, and creative workshops, both outdoors and inside the museum’s Level 1 area and CAMPUS. A central attraction this year is SPACEBUZZ ONE—a walk-in mobile installation by the German Aerospace Agency (DLR). Shaped like a horizontal rocket, it offers a 15-minute virtual space mission through VR headsets, designed to educate and inspire young explorers.

The same day also marks the reopening celebration of the recently renovated Mercedes-Benz dealership next to the museum. Under the theme “Home of Mercedes-Benz,” the Open Day event will run until 6:00 pm, with a focus on brand experiences and customer services.

Continuing every Sunday through 12 October, the “Classics & Coffee” event welcomes classic car owners and enthusiasts to gather outside the museum between 9:00 am and 4:00 pm. Open to all brands, the meet-up combines socialising with a shared appreciation for vintage engineering. This year, the event introduces test drives of both classic and modern vehicles, and features themed Sundays—such as the AMG Special Day scheduled for 21 September—enhancing the appeal for collectors and casual fans alike.

With its well-established summer formats and a few exciting updates, the Mercedes-Benz Museum once again positions itself as a dynamic cultural hub, blending heritage, innovation, and community engagement under the Stuttgart sun.
