Alfa Romeo and Luna Rossa join forces at 1000 Miglia 2025 with a vintage 1900 Super Sprint and the debut of the new 33 Stradale. Discover the highlights.

This year, Alfa Romeo brings a compelling story to life, intertwining its rich past with a bold vision for the future. At the 2025 edition of the legendary 1000 Miglia, the brand presents a striking contrast: a classic 1956 Alfa Romeo 1900 Super Sprint sharing the spotlight with the cutting-edge 33 Stradale, making its public debut along Italy’s most storied roads.

At the wheel of the vintage coupé will be the Luna Rossa sailing team, led by skipper Max Sirena. This collaboration goes beyond mere appearance — it marks a strategic partnership between two icons of Italian excellence, each driven by passion for performance, innovation, and national pride. Together, they embrace the spirit of competition that defines both the road and the sea.

The 1900 Super Sprint, crafted by Carrozzeria Touring, was a favorite among gentleman drivers in the 1950s. Known for its balance of elegance, agility, and reliability, it embodies the golden era of Italian motorsport. Cars like this helped Alfa Romeo secure eleven 1000 Miglia victories between 1928 and 1957, etching its name into racing history.

Alongside this piece of heritage, Alfa Romeo is showcasing its current lineup — with the all-new 33 Stradale stealing the show. Hand-built in a limited run of 33 units, the car channels the aesthetic of the 1960s icon while integrating the best of modern automotive technology. Once again, the bodywork is entrusted to the skilled hands at Carrozzeria Touring Superleggera, creating a literal and symbolic bridge between eras.

Supporting the caravan are other notable models: the Giulia Quadrifoglio Super Sport, a limited series commemorating the brand’s first 1000 Miglia victory, and the Junior Q4 Ibrida — a newly launched hybrid crossover with all-wheel drive, signaling Alfa Romeo’s evolution into the electrified era.

This historic reenactment takes on additional meaning in 2025, marking the 95th anniversary of Tazio Nuvolari’s legendary win at the 1930 1000 Miglia — the first time an average speed of over 100 km/h was achieved across the entire route. Back then, just as now, technology met bravery, and the desire to make history outweighed all obstacles.

Whether on the tarmac or the tide, Alfa Romeo and Luna Rossa stand side by side, united by a shared mission: to honor Italian ingenuity through bold design and relentless performance. In the 1000 Miglia, they’ve found a stage not only for speed, but for storytelling — a celebration of identity, craftsmanship, and the enduring allure of Italian style.
