Mercedes-AMG unveils four GT3 designs for DTM 2026
Mercedes-AMG Motorsport presents four GT3 liveries for DTM 2026 with adidas, febi, MANN-FILTER and RAVENOL, highlighting brand-driven design concepts.
Mercedes-AMG Motorsport enters the 2026 DTM season with four distinct visual identities, turning each car into more than just a race machine — but a standalone brand platform. Instead of a unified look, the focus shifts to contrast, individuality and clear partner-driven storytelling.
The line-up includes four Mercedes-AMG GT3 entries split between Landgraf Motorsport and Winward Racing. Lucas Auer (#22) and Tom Kalender (#84) compete for Landgraf, while Maro Engel (#80) and Jules Gounon (#48) represent RAVENOL and MANN-FILTER respectively. The structure reflects the current DTM format, which operates under GT3 regulations and relies on customer teams closely linked to manufacturers.
The central theme is visual differentiation. Auer’s car stands out in adidas Originals Blue with the brand’s signature three white stripes, drawing direct inspiration from the iconic shoebox and bringing streetwear aesthetics onto the grid. Kalender’s red-and-white febi design marks the brand’s debut in DTM, turning the livery into a clear statement of entry into the series.
On the other side, familiar designs return. Jules Gounon continues with the MANN-FILTER “Mamba”, a yellow-green livery with snakeskin patterns and sharp fangs that first appeared in 2015 at the Nürburgring 24 Hours. Over time, it has become one of the most recognisable designs in GT3 racing.
Maro Engel’s car features an evolved RAVENOL livery. While the base colours remain unchanged, the addition of a cheetah symbol highlights speed and agility. The involvement of Rainer Engel in the design process adds a personal element, while the number 80 reflects RAVENOL’s 80th anniversary, marking a company founded in 1946.
This approach underlines how liveries have evolved in modern motorsport. They are no longer secondary visual elements but key communication tools. In a GT3-based DTM grid, where multiple brands compete within the same class, visual identity becomes essential for standing out both on track and beyond.
The 2026 DTM season continues with a compact but intensive structure: eight race weekends and 16 races across Germany, the Netherlands and Austria. For Mercedes-AMG, this marks its 36th season in the series, reinforcing its position as the most successful manufacturer with 12 drivers’ titles and 15 manufacturers’ titles — a context that shapes the significance of each new design on track.
