Singer-modified Porsche 911 Fillmore reaches $901K bid
Singer-modified Porsche 911 Fillmore hits $901K at Bring a Trailer. Explore specs, Porsche Motorsport engine details, and auction context.
The bid has already reached $901,000 for a Singer-modified Porsche 911 Carrera 4 on Bring a Trailer — and the auction is still ongoing. The car in question is a rare bespoke build known as the “Fillmore” commission, completed in June 2023 and driven just 660 miles since.
This is not a simple restoration but a comprehensive reengineering of a 964-generation 911. Singer Vehicle Design, founded in Los Angeles in 2009, is known for creating highly personalized builds, each tailored to an owner’s vision. Every car begins as a donor 964, stripped down to its steel unibody, reinforced, and rebuilt with extensive use of carbon-fiber body panels.
This particular example stands out for its precise configuration. It is finished in paint-to-sample Pure Gunmetal with subtle ghost stripes, paired with a richly detailed Turmeric leather interior featuring woven inserts and nickel-plated accents. Inside, it combines Recaro seats, a MOMO steering wheel, and a Porsche Classic navigation system, blending vintage aesthetics with modern usability.
The centerpiece is a naturally aspirated 4.0-liter flat-six built by Porsche Motorsport North America, listed as a $125,000 option. It features individual throttle bodies, RS+ camshafts, and a modern ECU. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transmission with a limited-slip differential — a notable change from the original Carrera 4’s all-wheel-drive layout.
Chassis and braking systems have also been extensively upgraded. The car rides on Öhlins adjustable suspension, while braking is handled by Brembo components derived from the Porsche 993 Turbo. It sits on forged Fuchs-style wheels wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires.
This listing reflects more than just a single car. Singer builds have established themselves as a distinct segment of the collector market, with comparable examples frequently selling above $1 million. Recent auction results show similar 964-based Singer models reaching $1.1–1.2 million, while current market listings can exceed $1.4 million.
The car is also supported by strong documentation, including an order sheet showing a total build cost of $721,000, a clean Carfax report, and a California BAR certification confirming compliance of the modified engine.
As bidding continues, this “Fillmore” commission highlights how demand remains strong for highly individualized Singer builds, especially those combining recent completion, low mileage, and direct involvement from Porsche Motorsport.
