Skoda Adventurers: AI Trip Planner Turns Any Drive Into a Journey

Discover how Skoda’s MySkoda app uses AI to plan personalized road trips with charging stops, thanks to Adventurers and Powerpass integration.

Skoda has taken another step toward turning an ordinary drive into an adventure you don’t have to spend hours planning. The latest update of the MySkoda app introduces a tool called Skoda Adventurers — a feature powered by artificial intelligence that creates routes based on the driver’s interests, budget, and travel companions. All it takes is a tap on the magic wand icon in the Maps section to let the algorithm suggest a journey filled with unique stops.

The feature works for everyone — whether you’re driving a brand-new Skoda EV or an older model. Drivers of cars produced before July 2020 can use the MySkoda Essentials version, while owners of newer vehicles get the full functionality, including sending the route directly to the car’s navigation system.

Skoda puts special focus on electric vehicle owners. Routes include charging stops automatically, and integration with Powerpass gives access to a network of hundreds of thousands of charging points across Europe. The current figure exceeds 500,000, and by the end of 2025, Skoda plans to add another hundred high-power chargers just in Prague.

Powerpass has long made life easier for Skoda drivers who no longer need to juggle cards from various providers. One subscription opens access to partners such as IONITY, Ewiva, Audi charging hub, Zunder, and Aral pulse.

The idea behind this new tool originated in Norway, where Skoda first tested Mystery Trips — a web app that offered spontaneous routes through some of the country’s most scenic spots. Its popularity paved the way for the global launch of Skoda Adventurers. Plans for future updates are even more ambitious: upcoming versions might allow drivers to skip entering a destination altogether and let the app surprise them with an unexpected adventure.

Skoda doesn’t disclose details about the AI that powers Adventurers but highlights that data security remains a priority. A dedicated cybersecurity and software management system helps protect sensitive information.

Against the backdrop of rising Skoda EV sales in Europe — in May, the brand even surpassed Tesla in units sold — this new feature looks like one more reason to hit the road without the hassle of endless research and planning.
