Rolls-Royce Unveils Bespoke Phantom Dentelle with Lace-Inspired Design

Discover the one-of-one Rolls-Royce Phantom Dentelle, a unique commission inspired by handmade couture lace and curated by Private Office Dubai.
Rolls-Royce keeps reminding the world that the art of bespoke commissions is a philosophy in itself — where even the delicate world of lace can inspire a one-of-a-kind automobile. The newly unveiled Phantom Dentelle, presented by the British marque in July 2025, is another striking example of how haute couture traditions and engineering precision merge into a single masterpiece.
This unique Phantom was commissioned through the Private Office Dubai — a discreet space opened by Rolls-Royce in 2022 specifically to serve VIP clients across the Middle East. The car was ordered by a client from the region as a deeply personal gift for his father. The creative spark came from a piece of lace crafted on a rare Leavers loom, a symbol of craftsmanship dating back to the early 19th century.
The car itself feels like fabric in motion: intricate patterns flow from the full-width Gallery on the fascia to the embroidered Waterfall section between the rear seats. More than 230,000 stitches, eight embroidery techniques, threads in Rose Gold and Sunrise shades — all transform the Phantom Dentelle into a moving haute couture showcase. Private Office Dubai designer Michelle Lusby personally oversaw the project. Her name is already linked to other standout commissions that prove the Rolls-Royce team handles complex textures and materials with the same mastery as the world’s best couture ateliers.
The exterior carries the same delicate theme — a two-tone finish complemented by a hand-painted coachline depicting a leafy branch with pearl-like berries. The Spirit of Ecstasy figure is cast in Rose Gold, a subtle nod to the luxury woven into every detail. Such elements reinforce the brand’s philosophy: each detail reflects the owner’s taste and story, never mass production.
The exact financial figure for this bespoke commission remains undisclosed. What is clear is that unique projects like this easily cross the million-dollar mark, far surpassing the standard Phantom’s base price. And judging by how Rolls-Royce continues to expand its Private Office and push the boundaries of personalisation, masterpieces like the Dentelle will only become more numerous — yet each will always remain one of one.
