Porsche Taycan and Cayenne Black Edition join stealth luxury wave

Porsche presents Taycan and Cayenne Black Edition at Goodwood 2025 — stylish models with black accents, extended range and premium equipment.

Porsche unveiled its special Black Edition versions of the iconic Taycan and Cayenne models at the 2025 Goodwood Festival of Speed, drawing immediate attention with a sleek combination of black accents and an expanded list of premium features.

The Taycan Black Edition comes as a classic sports sedan or a Sport Turismo. A key highlight is the standard Performance Battery Plus with a 105 kWh capacity, boosting the WLTP range up to 668 kilometres — 76 kilometres more than the regular Taycan. The 0–100 km/h sprint takes just 4.0 seconds.

The Cayenne Black Edition is equally versatile, offered as a classic SUV or stylish Coupé, including a hybrid option. For the hybrid variant, acceleration to 100 km/h is around 4.7 seconds. Both versions receive Porsche’s Sport Design package, glossy black exterior details, and exclusive illuminated door sills.

Beyond the striking looks, standard equipment includes HD Matrix LED headlights, Surround View with Active Parking Assist, comfort seats with memory function, and a BOSE® sound system with Dolby Atmos. For those who wish to add a personal touch, the Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur programme enables bespoke touches — from custom keys to tailored mats and document folders.

Depending on the market, Taycan Black Edition prices start at around €101,500 in Germany and reach up to $127,675 in the US. The Cayenne Black Edition ranges from £88,900 in the UK to about $86,695 for the classic SUV version in the American market.

This Porsche Black Edition release also underlines a broader trend: carmakers are increasingly betting on stealthy, dark-themed special series. Recent launches like the Range Rover Sport SV Black and the Defender OCTA Black show how the ‘black pack’ idea has become a strong design and branding statement across the premium SUV segment.

Deliveries for both Porsche models are set to begin in the second half of 2025. In the coming months, Porsche is expected to share more details — and then it will become clear how this black chapter will resonate with the brand’s loyal followers.
