Audi's A6 Sportback e-tron traveled 1,057 km through Denmark, Sweden, and Norway—highlighting its range, fast-charging and performance on scenic routes.

Driving more than a thousand kilometers across Scandinavia in an electric car might sound ambitious, but the Audi A6 Sportback e-tron performance tackled the challenge with remarkable ease. From Copenhagen to Bergen, a group of journalists covered 1,057 kilometers across three countries, discovering both the dynamic potential and practical range of Audi’s premium electric sedan.

The journey began in Denmark’s capital. Behind the wheel of the e-tron, participants crossed the Øresund Bridge—the world’s longest cable-stayed road and rail bridge—and descended into the four-kilometer Drogden Tunnel. After about 470 kilometers, it was time to recharge. At a 350 kW fast-charging station, the A6 Sportback received 27 kWh of energy in just seven minutes—enough to reach Oslo without range anxiety. The final stretch into the Norwegian capital was smooth and almost silent, showcasing the car’s quiet ride and long-distance comfort.

Day two brought a shift in rhythm. Well-maintained highways gave way to narrower, winding country roads, providing the perfect terrain to explore the car’s handling. As the journalists climbed through the Hardangervidda plateau and took in the view of the Vøringsfossen waterfall, the e-tron’s dynamic character came alive. One last charging stop at kilometer 855 lasted just minutes, allowing the group to continue toward Bergen via the 1,380-meter Hardanger Bridge and the 7,700-meter Vallavik Tunnel.

This road trip was more than a scenic adventure—it was a compelling demonstration of how mature electric mobility has become. With a 100 kWh battery, WLTP range up to 750 kilometers, and charging capability of up to 270 kW, the A6 Sportback e-tron performance proved that long-distance travel in an EV can be enjoyable, efficient, and practical—especially in regions with the right infrastructure.

Reflections from the trip were unanimous: stunning landscapes, refined comfort, and near-total silence turned the journey into more than a product test. It became a glimpse into what everyday electric travel can truly feel like. And that future seems closer than ever.
