Skoda presents the upgraded Enyaq RS Race concept with sustainable materials, reduced weight, and enhanced aerodynamics for racing performance.

The electric revolution has reached the racetrack — and the Škoda Enyaq RS Race is here to prove it. Based on the production Enyaq Coupé RS, this concept car goes far beyond visual tweaks. It’s built to perform — fast, aggressive, and silently thrilling, like a true ambassador of the new era.

Škoda’s flirtation with motorsport-grade electric cars isn’t new. The first iteration of the RS Race appeared in 2023, but the latest version arrives with a refreshed “Modern Solid” front and a much deeper purpose — to act as a rolling development lab. It’s less about styling, more about pushing limits.

Under the hood, the drivetrain mirrors the production model: dual motors delivering 250 kW (340 hp) and an 84 kWh battery pack. But the real focus lies in weight reduction and aerodynamic refinement. With linen-based carbon alternatives, ultra-lightweight door structures, and the absence of interior comfort features, the RS Race sheds over 300 kg compared to the standard Enyaq Coupé.

Every design cue serves function. The lowered suspension, sharp front diffuser, side flaps, vented hood, and a prominent roof wing channel air with surgical precision — creating the kind of downforce that keeps the car planted at high speeds. A rear diffuser and enhanced airflow management boost stability even further.

Step inside and the theme of minimalism continues: racing shell seats, an emergency shut-off, a manual handbrake, and bare, featherlight doors define the interior. There’s no comfort here — just performance.

On track, the Enyaq RS Race reveals its character. Acceleration is instant, handling is sharp, and the only soundtrack comes from the tires and the wind. With a professional driver at the helm, the car slices through chicanes and accelerates with brutal efficiency. For the passenger, it’s like being a croquette in an air fryer — intense, short, and wildly exhilarating.

This concept isn’t headed for production. Instead, it serves a vital role as a proving ground for technologies that will eventually trickle down into everyday EVs. The Enyaq RS Race is a clear signal that electric doesn’t have to mean boring — and though it won’t hit public roads, its influence certainly will.
