Bentley recalls 44 Bentayga SUVs in the U.S. due to incorrect tire labeling. The issue, reported via NHTSA, may affect safety compliance and requires a fix.

Bentley is recalling 44 2025 Bentayga SUVs in the United States — not because of a mechanical fault, but due to an incorrect tire information placard that could lead to improper pressure settings and an increased risk of accidents.

The affected vehicles were produced between September 28, 2024, and July 15, 2025. The recall is registered with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration under number 26V181. The issue stems from a configuration error in the production management system, which resulted in incorrect tire size and pressure data being displayed on the vehicle placard.

This violates Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 110, which requires precise tire and loading information to be displayed inside the vehicle. The placard is considered a primary reference point for drivers, guiding correct tire pressure and load limits. Incorrect data can lead to tire overloading, overheating, and reduced vehicle stability.

Even without any mechanical defects, such discrepancies are treated as safety compliance violations. U.S. regulations require manufacturers to correct these issues, as inaccurate information can directly affect how a vehicle is operated.

Bentley will resolve the issue by replacing the placards with correct ones. The procedure takes about 30 minutes and will be carried out free of charge by authorized dealers. Dealer notifications are scheduled for late April 2026, with owner notifications expected in early May.

Although limited in scale, the recall highlights how strictly even labeling accuracy is regulated in the automotive industry.
