MAN Truck & Bus Italia marks its 40th anniversary with record 2025 results, growing market share and expanding electric infrastructure. Explore key figures and context.

MAN Truck & Bus Italia enters its 40th anniversary with record results: in 2025, the company reached a turnover of €617 million, up 11% and marking its third consecutive year of growth. For the Italian subsidiary, the milestone reflects not just longevity, but its position as one of MAN’s key markets in Europe.

Italy remains one of the region’s largest commercial vehicle markets, with more than 25,000 trucks sold annually and strong demand across both heavy-duty and van segments. Against this backdrop, MAN Italia exceeded a 10% market share in trucks over six tonnes for the first time, reaching 10.2%. In the van segment, it also set a record with 1,755 units sold and a 2.4% share.

These figures stand out in a challenging market environment. In 2025, commercial vehicle registrations declined across Italy and the wider European Union, including double-digit drops in the truck segment. Despite this, MAN not only maintained its position but expanded its share, underscoring its growing role in a highly competitive landscape dominated by established European manufacturers.

The company is also strengthening its position in electric mobility. MAN is already the second-largest manufacturer of battery-electric trucks in Italy, reflecting broader trends in the sector. Across Europe, the share of electrically chargeable trucks is rising, supported by the gradual rollout of dedicated charging infrastructure, including high-capacity hubs delivering up to 400 kW.

At the same time, MAN is expanding its own network. By 2026, nine new sites are set to open, while more than half of its service centres are already equipped to handle electric vehicles. In Italy, the company operates through a broad network of 18 dealer locations and over 80 authorised workshops, ensuring nationwide coverage and customer support.

MAN Italia was founded in 1986 in Verona, where its headquarters remain today. Over four decades, it has evolved from an emerging branch into one of the most established players in the national market, supported by hundreds of employees and a wider network of more than a thousand specialists.

The anniversary year will be marked by a series of initiatives and the publication of a book documenting key milestones. At the same time, the focus remains on the future — expanding infrastructure, advancing electric transport, and reinforcing its position in one of Europe’s most competitive markets.
