Skoda Vision O Concept Reveals Next-Gen Estate Design

Skoda Auto unveils Vision O concept, showcasing Modern Solid design, sustainability focus, and future of estate cars ahead of its September 2025 debut.
Skoda Auto has revealed the first glimpse of its new Vision O concept, offering a preview of the future of the brand’s estate cars. The silhouette and a short animation showcase the evolution of Skoda’s Modern Solid design language, reaffirming that Combi body styles remain a core part of the company’s DNA.
Currently, the Octavia Combi and Superb Combi remain strong sellers and top the estate car charts in many countries. It comes as no surprise that the company is setting the stage for the next chapter of this segment. Vision O will be a significant milestone in Skoda’s design transformation and is scheduled to debut publicly in September 2025 in Munich.
The concept’s exterior features sharp headlight lines, an aerodynamic profile, and a gently sloping roofline—traits that have made previous generations of Skoda estate cars popular. The design, led by exterior designer Jounggeen Kim, merges the brand’s practical, family-focused identity with new styling cues. Kim describes Vision O as “all-in-one,” emphasizing its ability to adapt to various needs.
A strong focus on circularity underpins the entire concept, with sustainability and recyclability reflected even in its name. For now, Skoda has not released details about technical specifications, the interior, or new technological features. However, CEO Klaus Zellmer stated that Vision O will set the future trajectory for the company’s estate models, strengthening Skoda’s presence in a segment it has served since the 1920s.
While no official confirmation exists regarding its platform or production timeline, industry sources suggest that the concept might be built on Volkswagen Group’s upcoming SSP architecture, potentially leading to a production model around 2026–2027.
