Porsche has unveiled its eighth Charging Lounge in Ringsheim, near the A5 and Europapark Rust, offering 400 kW fast-charging and premium amenities.

In early August, Porsche expanded its network of brand-exclusive charging lounges with a new location in Ringsheim, Baden-Württemberg. This marks the eighth Porsche Charging Lounge, strategically positioned near the A5 motorway and just a few kilometres from the popular Europapark Rust. The site offers a convenient stop for travellers heading between Germany and Switzerland or visiting the region for leisure.

The facility features six high-power DC chargers, each capable of delivering up to 400 kW. This allows Porsche’s electric models to achieve their maximum charging potential: the updated Taycan can recharge from 10 to 80 percent in around 18 minutes, while the Macan takes just over 20 minutes. The station operates 24/7, with access granted via a Porsche ID, licence plate recognition, the Porsche Charging Card or a QR code through the My Porsche app.

The lounge area is designed with comfort in mind. Inside, visitors will find comfortable seating, a coffee machine, a selection of drinks and snacks, and free Wi-Fi. Outside, covered seating areas with integrated speakers provide a pleasant environment. The design follows the network’s established style, developed by Studio F. A. Porsche, and incorporates sustainability features such as photovoltaic panels and energy-efficient lighting systems.

Ringsheim joins an expanding network that already includes Bingen, Estenfeld, Hamburg, Ingolstadt, Koblach in Austria, Leonberg and Nyon in Switzerland. In May 2025, the sixth lounge opened in Leonberg, offering the same 400 kW charging capacity and premium comfort, while July saw the launch of the first Swiss lounge in Signy-Avenex near Nyon, also featuring ultra-fast chargers and sustainable architecture.

Together with partner stations — including IONITY, Aral pulse and Fines Charging in Bulgaria — the Porsche Charging Service provides access to more than 900,000 charging points across 26 European countries, with over 75,000 offering at least 150 kW DC capacity. Customers on the Charging Service Plus tariff benefit from a fixed rate of €0.39/kWh at selected partners.

The company notes that the current positioning of its lounges now enables a continuous route through Europe for the first time, including a leg from Bingen via Ringsheim to Nyon. This opens new possibilities for Porsche electric vehicle owners planning long-distance journeys.
