Porsche reports on its joint appearance with Frauscher at boot Düsseldorf 2026, featuring the Cayenne Electric, Macan Turbo Concept Lago and the 790 Spectre. Discover the key highlights.

Porsche and Frauscher Boats used their joint appearance at boot Düsseldorf 2026 not merely as an exhibition showcase, but as a statement about how automotive and maritime technologies are beginning to converge. For the first time, the two brands shared a single stand at the world’s largest boat and watersports show, deliberately targeting an audience where enthusiasm for sports cars and boating clearly overlaps.

boot Düsseldorf once again confirmed its status as the most important international platform for the industry, welcoming more than 200,000 visitors, around 1,500 exhibitors from numerous countries and filling 16 exhibition halls at Messe Düsseldorf. For Porsche, the setting offered an opportunity to rethink how it engages with customers. The open-plan stand concept encouraged direct interaction, while the brand’s role as the event’s official mobility partner, including a dedicated shuttle service throughout the show, underlined its visible presence.

At the centre of Porsche’s automotive display was the German premiere of the new Cayenne Electric. As the brand’s second fully electric SUV, it was presented as a combination of high performance and everyday usability. In Turbo specification, the model delivers up to 850 kW (1,156 PS) and is engineered to serve as a capable towing vehicle. Depending on configuration, the Cayenne Electric can tow trailers weighing up to 3.5 tonnes, highlighting its relevance for customers transporting boats or other recreational equipment.

The conceptual link between road and water was embodied by the Macan Turbo Concept Lago. Developed by Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur, the design study translates maritime influences into automotive form. Its Darkteal Metallic paint finish from the Paint to Sample programme is complemented by yacht-style real wood trim, marine-grade interior textiles and distinctive details such as a compass replacing the traditional Sport Chrono stopwatch. While the concept remains a design exercise, it illustrates the breadth of personalisation possibilities within the Porsche portfolio.

That design philosophy finds a tangible counterpart in the Frauscher x Porsche 790 Spectre, a fully electric sports boat built around the Macan’s electric drive system. High-voltage battery, electric motor and control electronics have been directly transferred and adapted for maritime use. Measuring nearly eight metres in length, the 790 Spectre produces up to 400 kW and reaches top speeds of around 95 km/h, bringing Porsche’s electric performance credentials onto the water. Unlike the Macan concept, the boat is already available to order.

The Düsseldorf appearance demonstrated that the Porsche–Frauscher partnership has evolved beyond a one-off collaboration. By addressing a shared customer base, transferring electric platforms across different modes of transport and using design as a unifying element, the two companies signal a long-term strategic alignment. The response at boot Düsseldorf suggests that such cross-industry projects could play an increasingly important role as electrification reshapes both automotive and maritime worlds.
