Skoda says it delivered 1,043,900 cars in 2025, surpassing one million sales and reaching third place in Europe, with strong growth in electrified models.

2025 became one of the most successful years in Skoda’s modern history. The company not only surpassed the symbolic milestone of one million vehicles sold, but also entered the top three best-selling car brands in Europe for the first time — its core market.

Over the year, Skoda delivered 1,043,900 vehicles worldwide, an increase of 12.7% compared with the previous year. Growth was particularly visible in Europe, where deliveries reached 840,295 vehicles, up 9.6% year-on-year. This result secured the brand a position among the region’s leading manufacturers.

Electrified models played a significant role in this success. Their share of European sales reached 25.7%, meaning roughly every fourth Skoda sold in the region had an electrified powertrain. Globally, the company delivered 218,700 electrified vehicles, including 174,900 battery-electric vehicles and 43,800 plug-in hybrids. The figure represents more than double the volume recorded a year earlier and reflects the accelerating shift toward electric mobility.

One of the main growth drivers was the electric crossover Skoda Elroq. The model quickly gained traction and became the second best-selling battery-electric vehicle in Europe. In several countries — including the Czech Republic, Denmark, the Netherlands and Slovakia — it ranked first among BEVs. In October 2025, Elroq was even the best-selling electric car in the European market.

Alongside the rise of electric models, demand for Skoda’s traditional best-sellers remains strong. The Skoda Octavia once again became the brand’s most popular model, with 190,300 vehicles delivered in 2025. Since its introduction in 1996, total Octavia production has reached about 7.6 million units, making it one of the defining models in the company’s history.

Europe continues to be Skoda’s primary market. Germany remained the largest market with 211,100 deliveries, followed by the Czech Republic, the United Kingdom, Poland and France. At the same time, the company is expanding beyond the region. In India, deliveries nearly doubled to 70,600 vehicles, while in Vietnam local production of the Slavia and Kushaq models began.

Skoda is also strengthening its presence in new markets. The brand has entered Saudi Arabia and is expanding across the Middle East, while notable growth has been recorded in Turkey, Morocco and Egypt.

Looking ahead, the company plans to significantly expand its electric portfolio. In 2026, Skoda is expected to introduce the compact electric SUV Epiq, aimed at the mass market, as well as the large seven-seat electric SUV Peaq, which will serve as the flagship of the range. Together, these models are set to broaden the brand’s EV lineup and strengthen its position in the rapidly growing electric segment.

The results of 2025 suggest that Skoda has managed to balance its traditional strengths with the transition to electric mobility. Rising deliveries, the success of new electric models and expansion into international markets indicate that the company’s strategy is beginning to deliver tangible results.
