Skoda has unveiled Vision O exterior details, highlighting Modern Solid design and heritage links. The concept previews future electric estate cars, debuting in Munich.

Skoda has revealed further details of its Vision O concept, offering a preview of the brand’s future estate models. The world premiere is scheduled for 8 September 2025 in Munich, and the company is gradually unveiling the car’s design ahead of the event.

After the initial silhouette, the latest material highlights close-up views of the exterior. Narrow T-shaped rear lights, a sloping roof with a split spoiler, and a reinterpreted B-pillar showcase the next phase of the Modern Solid design language. The Skoda lettering and Vision O logo on the tailgate add to the concept’s distinctive identity.

According to exterior designer Jounggeen Kim, some of the styling cues were inspired by past favorites such as the Yeti and Roomster. At the same time, the aim was to refine Modern Solid with fewer decorative elements, improved aerodynamics, and functionality at its core. This, Kim believes, ensures immediate recognisability.

Project manager Daniel Edr describes Vision O as “back to the roots.” For him, the car’s simplicity and purposefulness recall the first generations of the Octavia, where functionality always came first. Born and raised in Mlada Boleslav, Edr has a deeply personal connection to the brand: as a student he dreamed of the first-generation Octavia RS estate, later contributing to the third and fourth generations of the Octavia as well as the electric Enyaq and Elroq.

Chief Designer Oliver Stefani sees Vision O as a continuation of Modern Solid, combining emotional appeal with clear, simple lines and everyday practicality. In Germany, the concept has also been linked with the company’s Next Level Skoda Strategy, which aims to strengthen its position in Europe and expand its electric model portfolio.

No information has yet been released on the interior, technical specifications, or production plans. For now, Vision O serves as a design study and a statement of intent. While media outlets often describe it as a preview of an electric Octavia Combi, Skoda officially refers to it more broadly as a look ahead at the brand’s future estate cars.

In this light, Vision O is more than a show car. It represents a manifesto that estates remain central to Skoda’s identity, now preparing to enter the electric era.
