Skoda has unveiled the Vision O concept interior, highlighting minimalist design, recyclable materials, and ergonomic solutions as part of its Modern Solid approach.

Skoda is gradually unveiling its Vision O concept, and this time the spotlight is on the interior. Instead of focusing solely on the exterior, the company invites a closer look at the cabin, where practicality, minimalism, and new ideas about the future of estate cars converge.

The Vision O’s interior stands out for its calm and honest design. Built around principles of safety, ergonomics, and intuitive functionality, it avoids unnecessary clutter. Architecture, colors, materials, and controls were developed in close collaboration across departments, resulting in a coherent space where every element serves a clear purpose.

A central theme of the project is circularity. The cabin uses only a handful of recyclable materials: 100% PES recycled flatknit for the seats, 3D-printed Ultrasint TPU headrests, plant-based microfibre for large panels, and recycled leather for the floor. These solutions reduce waste and redefine aesthetics, where the beauty of a material lies in its ability to be reused.

New control elements and bio-adaptive ambient lighting enhance the atmosphere, creating a relaxed environment. For the design teams, Vision O served as a laboratory to test ideas that could one day find their way into production models.

Designers gave the interior several defining words. Peregrina Iglesias described it as “a-chromatic,” friendly and inviting. Daniel Hájek emphasized its “natural” character, while Julien Petitseigneur called it “honest,” highlighting the focus on real customer needs rather than superficial glamour.

Oliver Stefani, Head of Skoda Design, sees Vision O as an evolution of the Modern Solid design language—clean lines, harmony, and functionality combined with responsible use of materials. Unlike the SUV-focused Vision 7S, Vision O revives the estate car format, rooted in the brand’s heritage but pointing firmly toward an electric future.

No official technical details have been released yet. However, industry reports describe Vision O as a possible electric successor to the Octavia, underlining its significance. The concept will be presented to the public at IAA Mobility in Munich in September 2025, where Skoda is expected to provide further answers.

Experts highlight that Vision O underscores the brand’s commitment to preserving the estate segment, even in an SUV-dominated market. While no production plans have been confirmed, the concept itself demonstrates Skoda’s willingness to explore and experiment with future directions.
