Porsche and Arthur Kar mark the 25th anniversary of the Carrera GT with a capsule collection in Paris, uniting fashion, heritage and digital culture.

Paris became the stage for the 25th anniversary of the Porsche Carrera GT, marked by a capsule collection created in collaboration with creative director Arthur Kar. The event bridged automotive heritage with contemporary fashion and highlighted how the legendary supercar continues to inspire beyond the car industry itself.

The Carrera GT was first unveiled at the Paris Motor Show in 2000. With its carbon monocoque and naturally aspirated V10 engine, the prototype impressed the world and later evolved into a production model, limited to 1,270 units. Over two decades, it became a benchmark of engineering excellence and a symbol of pure driving experience. The new collection draws directly on this heritage.

Arthur Kar, who began his career in a Paris Porsche workshop, is well known for projects where cars enter cultural and artistic contexts. His label L’Art de L’Automobile previously collaborated with Porsche in 2021 with the 968 L’ART art car. The new partnership continues this dialogue of design and emotion. For Kar, the Carrera GT holds personal meaning—it is the car that shaped his early journey in the automotive world.

Puma plays a central role as well. Since 2019, it has been Porsche Motorsport’s exclusive technical partner, responsible for teamwear and high-end collections through Porsche Design. Within the anniversary collection, attention centers on the Speedcat sneakers, a silhouette rooted in motorsport footwear.

Long-standing Porsche partners also appear in the project. Michelin, which recently developed new Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires for the Carrera GT, and Bose, the audio partner behind Porsche’s in-car sound systems, are reflected in the design details. Their presence underscores the link between the collection and the technical legacy of the supercar.

Another highlight comes from Playmobil, which added the Carrera GT to its Collector Cars series. First presented at the Nuremberg Toy Fair, the set bridges the anniversary story with younger fans and collectors alike.

The project also enters the digital realm. In September 2025, Porsche announced its debut on Zepeto, a popular virtual platform. Digital wearables based on the capsule collection and interactive spaces inspired by Paris and Leipzig open new channels of engagement with the brand.

The launch attracted considerable media attention. Outlets such as Hypebeast and duPont Registry emphasized the unusual blend of fashion and engineering heritage, while official Porsche press releases highlighted Kar’s role as creative director. The response suggests that interest in the Carrera GT remains strong after 25 years, and that initiatives like this help preserve and reinterpret its legacy within today’s cultural landscape.
